From discovery to launch typically two to six weeks, depending on scope. Workflows and extensions run on from there.

What about data protection?

We build in line with the Swiss FADP and the GDPR. Hosting in Switzerland or the EU is possible, and data stays where it belongs.

Do you work with the tools we already have?

Yes. We read what is there first, then decide together what stays and what is worth replacing.

What happens after launch?

We suggest staying together, and we say why: a website runs by itself for a while, a workflow does not. Hosting, interfaces and models cost money continuously, processes change, and some faults only show up in operation. We are happy to handle maintenance, extensions and new workflows. A one-off handover works too, it is just rarely the cheaper bill.

What happens if we stop working together?

The code is yours. You get the repository, all access and documentation explaining how the pieces fit together. Everything is built on standard tools any web studio knows, not on a system only we can operate. You stay because it fits, not because you cannot leave.

Principle

We process personal data under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable in the individual case, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We collect only what we need to run the website and to handle your enquiry.

This website sets cookies only if you have agreed beforehand. On your first visit we ask once whether we may measure usage. Until you answer, and permanently if you decline, nothing is loaded, nothing is stored and nothing is transferred. We never set advertising cookies, and we embed neither maps nor videos nor social media widgets.

Server logs

Every time this website is opened, the web server automatically records technical details and writes them to log files:

IP address of the requesting device
date and time of access
the address requested and the status code returned
browser type, browser version and operating system
referring page, if the browser sends it

We need these details for technical operation, for troubleshooting and to fend off attacks. They are not merged with other data sources and are not used to identify individual people.

Enquiries through the forms

There are two forms on the contact section. They collect different amounts, and both are voluntary.

Project enquiry: email address, project title and your description of the project.

Intro call request: email address plus, if you provide them, name, phone number and your preferred time slot.

What happens behind it: your entries travel from your browser to our server, are validated there and passed on to our automation environment. That environment stores the enquiry in a database and sends us a notification email. We operate all systems involved, including mail delivery, ourselves on our own servers in Switzerland. No external service provider sits in between.

Both forms contain a field invisible to you which catches automated submissions. It stores no data about you.

If you write or call us directly instead, the same applies: we process your details in order to answer your enquiry.

Purposes and legal bases

Server logs we process to operate and secure the website. We rely on our overriding interest in an offering that works and is protected.

Enquiry data we process in order to answer your enquiry, prepare a quote and set up any collaboration. The basis is your voluntary input and the initiation or performance of a contract.

We do not use your details for advertising and do not pass them on for advertising.

Hosting

This website runs on servers we operate ourselves. The servers are located in Grosswangen in the canton of Lucerne, Switzerland. Your data does not leave Switzerland, apart from the Google Search Console case described below.

The domain floweon.ch is registered with Hostpoint AG, Neue Jonastrasse 60, 8640 Rapperswil-Jona. Hostpoint AG manages the domain registration and the DNS records.

Retention and deletion

Server logs we delete after 90 days, unless a specific security incident makes longer retention necessary.

Enquiries that do not turn into an engagement we delete no later than 24 months after the last contact.

Records of accepted engagements we keep for ten years. We are required to do so under the retention rules of the Swiss Code of Obligations.

Measurement data from Google Analytics is deleted by Google after two months.

Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell personal data and do not pass any on for advertising purposes.

Because we run the web server, the automation environment, the database and mail delivery ourselves, no external processor is involved in handling your enquiry. What you send us through the forms stays in Switzerland.

Audience measurement is different: through Google Analytics, usage data reaches Google and therefore also the USA. This concerns only the measurement data described below, not your enquiries. The details are in the Google Analytics section.

Disclosure to authorities only happens where we are legally obliged to do so or where it is necessary to enforce our rights.

Google Search Console

We use Google Search Console to see which search terms lead people to this website in Google Search. The provider is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Worth being clear about: nothing runs in your browser for this. Search Console embeds no code in this website and sets no cookies. The analysis is built from data Google holds anyway from running its own search engine, and it is shown to us only in aggregated form. Individual people are not identifiable in it.

How Google processes data from its own search is set out in the Google privacy policy.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are opened and by which route visitors find their way here. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, which also uses servers of Google LLC in the USA for this.

This only runs with your consent. Without your agreement, the Google code is not even fetched from Google. So there is neither a connection nor the otherwise usual cookieless signals as long as you have not agreed.

What is recorded: pages opened, date and duration of the visit, approximate location, device type, browser and the referring page. Google uses your IP address to determine the approximate location and does not store it. We see aggregated analyses only and cannot identify individual people from them.

Google Analytics sets two cookies for this: _ga and _ga_X0VDTB7K3T, both with a lifetime of two years. They serve to recognise returning devices, not to advertise. Google deletes the recorded data after two months.

The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future, below with one click. Because data reaches the USA in the process, we say so explicitly: Google bases this transfer on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission and on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, to which Google has certified itself. A level of protection like the one in Switzerland cannot be guaranteed in every case. That is part of why we ask first.

Change your decision

Here you can change your answer to the notice at any time. A withdrawal takes effect immediately: nothing new is recorded and the analytics cookies that were set are deleted. A value your browser had already measured before the withdrawal may still be sent.

Independently of this, you can block cookies in your browser or install the Google opt-out add-on, which applies to all websites.

Fonts and external content

The fonts in use sit on our own server. Opening the website builds no connection to Google Fonts or any other third-party server for them. We embed no maps, no videos and no social media widgets. Links to external pages are only called when you click them.

Data security

The transfer between your browser and our server is encrypted end to end (TLS), recognisable by the https in the address bar. Access to stored enquiries is limited to the people who need them to do the work. Nobody can promise absolute security for a transmission over the internet.

No automated individual decisions

We do not make decisions that have legal consequences for you or significantly affect you on the basis of automated processing alone. A human decides on your enquiry.

Your rights

Within the scope of the applicable law you have the right:

to ask whether and which data we process about you
to have incorrect data corrected
to request the deletion or destruction of your data
to have the processing restricted
to object to the processing
to request your data in a common format or have it transferred to another body

An informal message to info@floweon.ch is enough. So that we do not hand out somebody else's data, we may ask for proof of identity. The information is free of charge for you.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can turn to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern. If your case falls under the GDPR, you may additionally complain to the supervisory authority responsible for you.

Changes

We adapt this policy when the website or the technology behind it changes. The version published here is the one that applies.
